Expanding Communities Producers: Budgeting Deep Dive with Mel Joy
Join Minorities in Film (MiFilm) in partnership with The Gotham Film & Media Institute for the launch of the PRODUCERS: BUDGETING DEEP DIVE series. For the inaugural session, we’ll be joined by producer Mel Jones, producer of Burning Sands, who will share a case study on the film. She’ll break down the biggest financial hurdle within the project and educate attendees on the production strategy to address it.
Following the case study of the film, Mel will lead an interactive session where attendees will be asked to apply financial strategies to their own projects.
Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how to approach formulating budgets, challenges associated with resources and how to develop and execute a financial strategy that brings their film success.
